The short version: names and amounts you enter in the calculator stay on your device. We never see them.

Calculator data

People, expenses, currency and settlement results are processed with JavaScript in your browser and saved to your browser's local storage so your group is still there when you return. This data is never transmitted to Split Calculator or any third party. You can remove it at any time with "Start over" or by clearing your browser's site data.

Sharing

When you use "Copy summary" or "Share on WhatsApp", the summary text is created on your device and handed to your clipboard or to WhatsApp. What happens next is governed by that app's privacy policy.

Contact form

If you contact us, your name, email address and message are delivered to us via the Web3Forms service and used only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Hosting and logs

The website is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel may process technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the site.

Fonts

Typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font files are requested.

Cookies

Split Calculator does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

The website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Your rights

Because we do not store calculator data, there is nothing to export or delete on our side. For contact form messages, email hello@splitcalculator.net and we will delete your correspondence on request.
